Recent Letter of Encouragement

13 September 2011

We recived this letter from some Vineyard pastors and found it to be very encouraging.

Dear Friends – thanks for all the emails that you’ve been sending our way… sorry our communication has not been extravagant… we have been very blessed to have Darrin’s brother from North Carolina, staying with us for the last few days…

Mark and Darrin’s compost is beautifully smelly and steaming like an active volcano! The plot for the well watered garden is cleared and awaiting the next phase. The team from our church that attended the Foundations for Farming course is still buzzing and enthusiastically arrived last Saturday to clear land and mark it out for our well watered garden at the church ?

We had excellent feedback from our very good friend, Phil Frost, who we invited on the course – he and Beren were so excited about what they learnt, that they themselves are sponsoring a team of 20 folks to attend one of the Foundations for Farming courses in the coming weeks. They are also inviting strategic people from the area, including the District Chief to attend a one-day tailor made Foundations for Farming course – to generate awareness.

We were so encouraged to hear Phil say that he has invited his ‘enemy’ (a woman that has given him much trouble and created great instability… who farms over the road from him…), to this Foundations for Farming course!!! She has accepted the invite! We are praying she actually comes ? They are also planning to plant well watered gardens along the road facing side of their farms – both to generate interest and eventually to encourage others to join in ?
